Our Terrific Vendors!!

Homespun Family, Iowa

I learned to weave rag rugs many years ago from my Grandmother who wove rugs until she was 97 years old! Both of my parents also weaved and so, I continue that tradition, but also weave decor material rugs and many fiber rugs! We have a small herd of alpaca and my daughter & son in law raise Jacob Sheep and Navajo Churro sheep. I utilize all of these wools plus some llama wools into woven rugs, decor items, dryer balls, fiber supplies, rovings and Needle Felt Artwork.

I also teach needle felting classes and offer fiber art for sale and offer custom pet portraits done. I have felting supplies and Needle Felting "Starter Kits" available - made from our own animals fibers! I also handspin our wools into beautiful yarns- that are also available

On The Hill, Iowa

We started out with a small herd of Suri Alpacas that grew while we did foster care, wanting our kiddos to learn how to care for Gods creatures.  Choosing the suri because of its rarity (10%).  I've been spinning my own fiber and having it mill spun for over 10 years now.  Using Suri, and various wool blends.   I've never been able to knit or crochet well so I discovered the continuous strand weaving and knitting machines.  We carry alpaca socks, hats, gloves and shawls, cowls and scarves.  I also dabble in jewelry, pins for shawls, sea glass jewelry.  Lavender products and a bunch more.

We have a farm store near Dysart Iowa that we sell from and love to have fiber friends come for the day to knit, spin, crochet and visit.  Our website is www.peopleonthehill.com

Plum Creek Fiber Guild, Iowa

Plum Creek Fiber Guild is a great group of fiber friends from Northeast Iowa. Between us we weave, spin, knit, crochet, carve, tat, and shepherd. We meet in each other’s homes, sometimes working on a group project, sometimes on individual projects, even helping out on shearing day. All meetings involve yummy treats and much bantering.

We are proud to offer you freshly shorn Romney lamb fleeces, home dyed and natural colored roving and locks, and handspun yarns. Our woodcrafter makes artisan quality spindles, nostepinnes, weaving shuttles, back-strap loom heddles, shawl pins, wooden buttons, and a variety of bentwood Shaker baskets and sewing boxes.

Zipply Art, NE.

  • Welcome to Zippy Art, Unique Art Concepts.  My journey into zipper art started out as an extension of my needle felting and beading.  Creating with zippers, wool and embellishments has taken on a life of its own.  It started as something quick and unique to make for gifts on a family trip and now has become my new challenge of creating framed art pieces as well as wearable art.  Each broch/ornament are small pieces of art using a fusion of different media and techniques, including zippers, needle felting, and beading.  We will have finished products and everything you need to make your own... Zipply Art.

Little Creek ALpacas, Ill.

Little Creek Alpacas was born out of a great love for animals, and the desire to become more self sufficient and raise our children in a more spiritual setting. We chose alpacas over other livestock because they are docile, earth friendly, and produce a wonderful, luxurious fiber that is better than cashmere. Alpaca fiber is not only soft, durable, and warm; it is also moisture wicking, flame retardant, water resistant, and stain resistant.

Hand spun alpaca yarns, alpaca batt blends, roving, fiber grab bags, needle felting kits, felted purses, dog toys, dryer balls, alpaca socks, and more
